Winter seems to be the time of year when most people are fighting static in the hair. Static, caused when your hair collects an electrical charge from the air, can be resolved with a few easy tricks. Try switching to a more hydrating shampoo and conditioner and use an ionic hair dryer which deplete moisture like a regular hair dryer.

Another tip to knock out static: Try using a product like Moroccan Oil, or Paul Mitchell's Gloss Drops to help seal down the cuticle of the hair. Also, you can tap a dryer sheet on your shoulders and spray your hairbrush with a static control spray. Talk to a stylist about which option is best for your hair type!
