Stylist Abi Namenyi says spring is the perfect time to renew your 'do. She offers this advice for updating your look:

1. Allow nature to inspire your choice of hair color. A subtle blend of blondes and beige evokes thoughts of a sandy beach. Rich chocolates and mahoganies are reminiscent of the grains in wood.
    
2. Consider short hair. Angled designs with strategically placed layers allow movement and provide contemporary shaping.
    
3. Medium-length hair continues to be popular—especially soft layering with longer lines in front .
    
4. Love long locks? Soft and loose body is the way to go for impressive tresses.
